Power without a capital decision
For construction, irrigation seasons, events, cover while your own set is repaired — or while a stolen transformer is replaced. Delivered, connected, tested and supported.
Hire rates from US$20/day →We supply, install, hire out and maintain diesel generating sets across Zimbabwe — HIMOINSA as our main line, other makes where they suit the job or the budget better. Sized to your load, wired in properly, and serviced so they start when you need them.
Send your load list — or a photo of your distribution board and a note of the big motors.
We work out the size before we price anything. If we think you need less than you asked for, we tell you that too.
You get it in writing — the set, the installation, and what it will cost to run.

Hire rates from US$20/day →Sized to your load, with changeover, wiring, commissioning and operator handover. We import from South Africa and China — if what you need is larger than what we hold, we bring it in.
See the range →Routine servicing, fault finding, alternator and panel work — not only what we sold you. Once-off, or on a maintenance contract with scheduled visits and your service history kept on record.
Book a service →Zimbabwe came through the 2026 winter without national load shedding for the first time in about twenty years. That is real, and it is good for business. It also changed the shape of the risk.
A fault on the Warren–Alaska 330kV line brought the entire national grid down in the early evening. Supply returned hours later. There was no schedule for that one, and no warning to plan around.
ZETDC reports its equipment damaged almost daily, particularly around Harare, with substations a frequent target. A stolen transformer is not a four-hour block on a schedule. It is days — sometimes longer.
Diesel use rose about 13% in the first quarter of 2026, fastest in mining and construction — operations expanding faster than the network reaches them. A good deal of our work is prime power, not backup.
National load shedding ending does not mean your site stays up. It means the next interruption arrives without notice, on a day you had planned around having power.

HIMOINSA is our main line — Spanish-built, from small single-phase units up to large industrial sets, with service centres in Southern Africa, so parts and factory support are reachable rather than theoretical. We also supply and hire other makes where they suit the job or the budget better. If what you need is larger than what we hold, we bring it in.
Single and three phase, quiet enough to sit close to people.
Sized for motor starting, not just running load.
Prime power where the grid does not reach, or does not hold.
Tick what applies and we will show the class of set most sites like yours end up with.
Indicative only. Motor starting, altitude and duty change the answer — an undersized set will not start your motors, an oversized one wastes fuel and wet-stacks. We size properly before we quote, at no cost.
A generator that will not start is worse than having none, because you planned around it. Most of the sets we are called out to have not been serviced since the day they were installed.
Something is wrong and you want it looked at. We come, we diagnose, and we quote before we start work — not after.
Scheduled services through the year, billed on a plan, with your service history kept on record — so the next technician knows what the last one did.
We are based in Harare and cover the country. Tell us where the site is and we will tell you honestly what we can get there, and when.
Solar cuts your daytime bill, and where it suits the site you should install it. It is not the same purchase as a generating set, though: without a very large battery bank it will not carry a night shift or hold heavy motor starting — and that battery bank usually costs more than the generator it was meant to replace.
If you are going solar, size the generator for the loads solar cannot hold, and we will wire the changeover so the two work together. Where solar is the better spend for you, we will say so.
Not sure what size you need? Leave the kVA out. Describe the site and what has to keep running, and we will work out the size and put it in writing.
